Hans-Gerd Hammann, a graduate civil engineer, is the founder and managing director of Hammann GmbH. Starting as a two-man company in 1997, Hammann has developed over 25 years into a 70-person SME.

Hammann holds several patents based on the comprex® cleaning process. As a service provider for the cleaning of fluid-carrying systems and as a manufacturer of mobile and stationary cleaning systems, Hammann is active in various areas and sectors of drinking water supply and industry. Due to this long-standing expertise, through innovative adaptations of the impulse flushing process to new areas of application and through constant investments in research & development, Hammann and comprex® are positioned for the future.

The increasing demand for permanently available cleaning solutions paved the way for the spin-off of Hammann Engineering GmbH in 2018.

Hammann and comprex® are thus entering the second generation. With the founding of the subsidiary, Vincent Hammann joined the company as the second managing partner.

Previously, he gained experience with comprex® as a service technician on project assignments while completing his Bachelor’s degree in Service Engineering at DHBW Mannheim. He now manages the fortunes of comprex® Engineering as Technical Project Manager and is completing his Master’s degree in General Business Management while working.

Sebastian Immel graduated in chemical engineering and process technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and has been involved in the further development and application of Hammann’s mechanical comprex® cleaning system since 2013.

As an authorized representative at Hammann Engineering, his responsibilities include the development, design and manufacture of mobile and stationary comprex® units.

Varun Kuriakose, M.Eng.

Varun Kuriakose holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Automotive Production Engineering. He has professional experience in manufacturing, automotive industry, consulting and product management as well as overseas experience in India.


His core focus as product manager at Hammann Engineering is on identifying customer needs, supporting technical development and marketing the comprex® product portfolio.

Jan Walther

Jan Walther switched to freelance work while still studying computer science and has been involved in automation technology since 2006.

As managing director of Sycotech, founded in 2019, he and his team offer comprehensive support for plants and machines: Software and hardware design, development, manufacturing, implementation in production plants as well as maintenance and service concepts.
